I've been married to my best friend, James, for 37 years and we are the proud parents of 3 beautiful cats, Evelyn, 20, Charley, 3 and Loretta, 1. We've always been pet parents and have loved every one of them and miss the ones so much who have left us for Heaven. We live just outside of Birmingham, Alabama near Logan Martin Lake and are lifelong residents of Alabama.

Southern cooking is part of my DNA and my earliest and best memories revolve around food. I developed a deep respect and passion for the foods industry as a college recruiter, where I learned so much about the Culinary Arts education program and just how influential, challenging and competitive the foods industry is. The training, rules and regulations and artistry is incredible and it literally influences culture, economics and nutrition around the world!

I am a self-taught, passionate baker and cook - it's where I am most creative!! I love to entertain and gift my friends and family with food and baking has become my favorite outlet for artistic expression!
